Road work: fresh oil, striping is listed at SD-34 from Junction South Dakota 47 North-Mac's Corner to 1.25 miles west of Junction South Dakota 47 South-Fort Thompson, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation's traveller-information feed.
The feed gives the route as SD-34, the reference milepost as 262.035 and the affected direction as Both Directions.
The feed publishes a listed start of Aug. 5, 2026, 6 a.m. MDT / 7 a.m. CDT and a listed end of Aug. 21, 2026, 4 p.m. MDT / 5 p.m. CDT. Each is one instant shown in both of South Dakota's zones — Mountain first, Central second; they are the same moment. The feed names a route and not a zone, so 605Buzz does not pick one for you.
Whether this work is currently underway is not stated in this text: it depends on the time you are reading, and the department is the authority.
The feed publishes coordinates of 44.21206679, -99.44167176 for this record. Those are the department's own figures, reproduced as published; 605Buzz does not geocode.
The department's own description of the work, reproduced without changes as published in the feed:
